As proof that I don't solely boo-hoo about bidding farewell to summer, I do love me some snow. I have even been labeled the 'queen of snow' (personally I prefer princess). This ski/ boarding trip to Colorado a few years ago was probably the most snow I have ever seen... it was crazy and just plain awesome.
I know, I know... we still have all the wonders of fall to enjoy, but at the first sign of a sweater I start doing a snow dance. This is fair warning!
Amazing photo Lilly...I love caravans and I think there is one in there under the snow!? I have never seen 'real' snow.
ReplyDeleteYes Airstream's are wonderful, we always talk about getting one when we 'retire' except typically architects never really retire :) You've never seen snow?! Oh my goodness, you need to- it's fun stuff.
DeleteI grew up where there were TONS of snow, so I kind of had enough. Nowadays I´m totally fine with just a little. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe get a wee bit of snow every year, but its nothing compared to what I used to see in upper northern California. I had a friend up in Strawberry {Dharma Dave, we used to call him-- ski bum in winter, beach bum in summer & a smoke jumper in between} who I would visit often. At winter time the whole area would pretty much shut down to all but the most intrepid skiers, with paths like mazes weaving around the town-- with snow walls 6 foot tall on either side-- most cool!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm with you! I love all of it and Fall is such a great anticipation for Winter and holidays. I love snow through and through.
ReplyDeleteHaving grown up in Utah I, too, love snow..... but snow for a purpose like skiing or snowboarding or snowshoeing... the crazy amounts of snow we had here in Boston two winters ago was just obnoxious!!
ReplyDeleteCool Airstream!
I love snow! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, but to tell you the truth, I don't like snow. I live for 13 years in a very cold climate. 30 miles from Arctic circle, and had had enough snow for the rest of my life! :)
ReplyDeleteI love snow also! We lived through "snowpocolypse" in Washington, DC when the whole city shut down... we had a great time. I can see you, the outdoors-woman, tromping through some snow with your guys!
ReplyDeleteI love white fluffy snow like this, but it's when it turns all gray and slushy on the ground that I hate it. and winter lasts far too long in my home city. so I'll enjoy the end of summer and all of autumn as much as I can :)
ReplyDeleteYou are scaring me, sweetheart. I am not a fan of snow, unless I am indoors by the fireplace with a cup of tea.
