It is wasteful though, and I know people who get the live trees and plant them but they're usually smallish and really expensive. I love a real t...Love the light-balls! So pretty. <br /><br />I love a real tree, too, but struggle with the waste aspect! But is a fake tree any better if it eventually gets tossed in a landfill? There is a company in LA that does potted trees and then, when Christmas is over, they take the tree back and care for it over the year and then you get the SAME tree back the next year! He'll love it and he'll learn. You might lose a few, but he'll learn and you won't mind too too much because he's your most precious ornament of all!<br /><br />(He IS sooooo precious.
