Goats and Bunnies and Food and Family

Each night as we put Little Smith to bed, we do a recap of the day's events. Usually it goes something like, 'we went to the park and made doughnut muffins' or 'we did three puzzles and made a drawing'. On Sunday night I curled my little boy into my arms and recounted all of our adventures from the day, 'the Easter Bunny came and brought eggies and books, you made breakfast with your big cousin, we walked in the woods and chased the goats, you taught your baby cousin how to pull up grass (and eat it), daddy let you steer the golf cart, we had a delicious meal, you discovered the playhouse that great grandpa made so many decades ago, you found almost 40 eggs in the egg hunt, you danced and danced and had everyone laughing, and you ran with the dogs and giggled until you dropped'.

It was a very good day.

    1. How strange! I noticed that it often defaults to my New Year's post from a few years ago. I emailed them about it but can't figure out how to fix it :(

    1. Oh the menu was amazing, there's several 'pescatarians' so it was heavy on seafood, but plenty of veggies and even some chicken for the carnivores... roasted baby root vegetables, a super delicious quinoa with mushrooms and peas and pea shoots, grilled swordfish with lemon and asparagus, beet salad, crab cakes with a cucumber salad, seafood only paella, a big and bitter green salad... don't even get me started on the desserts :) I'd like some more right now in fact!

    1. Yes, come to the dark side :) My iPhone isn't even the latest and greatest which apparently have even better cameras. It definitely replaces the need for a point and shoot. There are obvious limitations, but always having a camera on hand is a big plus.
