Details B2.01

shut the door open the door dusting watching the flakes paperwhites 14 weeks car play how's my hair?

The snow is flying, and we are watching to see if these predictions of two and a half feet are all hype or if it's really the blizzard of the decade. I made sure to stock up on groceries yesterday, just in case, and I have never-ever-never seen such a crazy zoo. I had to wait and be aggressive just to get a parking space and it was the middle of a week day! Now we wait, and shovel, and enjoy a few cozy days of fires (and maybe a snowman?).

I might look less pregnant than last week, but it's really just wardrobe and angle... I'm about the same I think. I feel huge though for three months and nothing really fits, my tights are digging into my belly so I have to work out a solution for that one. It's getting exciting now that I'm officially in the second trimester, and feels more 'real' each week. I started using belly cream, hoping to avoid those stretch marks again. Who knows if it works but it feels good!

I'm still sick. Yup, not much to say there. We've now moved onto 'night sickness' which means I'm up and sick through the night and then exhausted for the day. I have been feeling okay in those daylight hours though, so I guess that's something. I'm determined to get a recipe on here next week (one that doesn't include sugar). Let's hope I can pull it off!

Stay safe and warm!

  2. Ugh, I remember the nighttime sickness. I had it bad with Westley. I used to keep pretzels in my bedside table and munch on them in the middle of the night.

  3. night sickness sounds horrible! I was incredibly sick for about 3 months and I found that all I could do was sleep it off and hope it went away!

  4. Two and a half FEET??? What?! I had no idea it was going to be that bad. We lived in DC when they had the epic snowstorm of the century a few years ago... it was absolutely insane but so much fun, too. The entire city shut down for days. I hope you guys don't lose power!

You are gorgeous. The prettiest pregnant lady I've ever seen. :) Hope you start feeling better soon, Lilly!

    1. Aw thanks so much- and yes this storm is supposed to be a monster. They have actually banned all car travel, something I've never seen before. Zero cars on the roads, just ploughs... kind of eerie!

  5. Gorgeous child, gorgeous photos, and a gorgeous baby belly. As a sidebar your home looks pretty gorgeous too. What camera do you use for your shots? Anyway, stay safe and warm. I am a bit jealous of all the weather back east. I want an excuse to curl up with my boys and make valentine crafts. xxoo

    1. How sweet Rebecca, thank you. All of these were taken with a Canon Rebel T2i, except the 'paperwhites' which was my iPhone. I so wish I had thought about making Valentine crafts and gotten supplies- maybe I can scrounge something up :)

    2. thanks! crafts are somehow in order this weekend I believe. Perfect weekend, no matter the weather. We are off to the farmer's market first (not snowing here...much to the boys chagrin) and then to clean and craft. Thanks for the tip on your camera. I am looking at the Canon Rebel T3i. Wondering if I can splurge on it or not. Enjoy your indoor/outdoor family time in the blizzard-ness out east.xxoo

  6. I'm shocked you are expecting that much snow! And, you know, I am getting really excited about seeing a new little one gracing this page sometime this year. I'm sure there is going to be much cuteness!

  8. Great photos. Love the baby belly. Sorry you are still feeling sick. We got lots of snow (about 12 inches) but everything is good today. The sun is out. :) I never thought to get groceries, but then again there`s always a bunch of canned stuff in the fruit cellar.
