After selling our old couch on an impulse, we set a record for fastest Smith-decision ever by immediately agreeing on a new one. Sure we did briefly debate a few Ikea options (this and this) and even fantasized about some dream sofas... but we quickly settled on this guy which was a perfect size, comfortable, fit our style and our budget, and had an option for a great in-house stain protection plan (yeah, that was key!). We got the very last one in stock which meant we only spent about a week futon surfing. I'm truthfully shocked by how easy it all was because hemming, hawing, and general debating are pretty gigantic pastimes around here.
Of course I am such a nut about any kind of change that when the couch actually arrived I felt like an alien spacecraft had taken over our living room and I wasn't quite sure. Once Little Smith broke it in with a few head stands I started to relax and now we are all enjoying it thoroughly. It's always fun to have that spice of something new around the house!

ReplyDeleteThanks, we thought so too! It was half the price of many other's with similar design and quality and given our little couch tester, we didn't want anything too precious.
