Big Art

Back when Little Smith was a little(er) baby we used to go to museums all the time. They were some of the few places, during that crazy winter buried under mountains of snow, where I could stretch my legs, get inspired, and not worry about windburn on my newborn. Museums are a little less relaxing these days with 'running' and 'touching' being some of our favorite activities. Solution? Giant sculpture and installations that are not only designed to be touched but are also outside! Hot pink spandex tents with peep-show bubbles? Oh yeah, that's art to please every Smith.

    1. Thanks so much. My husband and I both take the pictures and we use a combination of digital and film. Our digital camera is a Canon Rebel T2I and we have a 35 mm Nikon F100 film camera.

  6. That looks like great fun. I always like when the kids are able to get involved with the art. It makes the visit so much easier (for parents) and fun for kids.

  7. What a cool museum! Perfect for a rambunctious toddler. I am sort of excited (and crazy nervous!) for when Alice goes mobile. I imagine I'll be looking for all sorts of these types of things to do with her!

  9. So awesome! Museums are off our list for the foreseeable future too, but this - we could totally handle!
