Farm in July

big walker looking for goats nina, pinta, santa maria tractor! driving lessons new baby sweetness lakeside around the lake very serious don't look taffy to the pool el director afternoon swim watching the storm summer rain swimming in the rain pool love

Lots of photos and a little glimpse at what we have been up to for the last few days. We had a relaxing mini-vacation at my aunt an uncle's beautiful home/ farm. It is a magical place and we are so very lucky to be able to enjoy it. My family is super private so I've tried to show very little of them, but you will have to take my word for it that we are a big group (almost twenty at this gathering!). As always my aunt kept us well fed and entertained.

The heat was crazy with temperatures in the high nineties, but all the trees and the pool helped us stay cool (at least most of the time!). Little Smith wasn't sure about the pool at first but by the end he was a total water addict, crying and begging to get back in whenever we tried to leave.

It was tons of fun to see everyone and to play with the kids and the dogs (who are definitely part of the family). We are now enjoying being home on this lazy and hot Sunday and catching up with the garden and the cat... Of course laundry is overdo and groceries need to happen but it's tough to get motivated in this heat, especially with no air conditioning. I'm voting for one more day of lounging before the shock of Monday hits!

  6. Wow - what a beautiful place! It looks like a resort! The pool looks so great right now - it's been close to a million degrees here. It's 10PM and we still have the air on - yuck.
I love the pic of Little Smith and the doggie.
