Fun Little Things: Tubtrugs

Oh my beloved Tubtrugshow I adore you! Seriously, I cannot bestow enough praise on these flexible, durable, and light rubber buckets. I used them before I had a kid for laundry and gardening and once Little Smith came along they quickly became our go-to for baby bath, baby seat, toy chest... we can never have too many.

For as long as I can remember my mother used a similar rubber bucket in the garden to collect weeds and haul compost, although in a far less exciting black color. As with Hunter wellies, which she also always wore in the original green, these tubs are now available in a myriad of colors (my mom pokes fun at these utilitarian products going trendy but I say maintain the great quality and give me fun colors to choose from- yes please!).

They come in various sizes, heights, and you can even get recycled materials. Similar products are made by other manufacturers for slightly less money, but for under twenty dollars for all but the largest sizes I really prefer the Tubtrug version, they just seem to crack less and hold their shape better. If you've seen these guys in all the stores and haven't taken the plunge yet, they really are the best little things.

Writing this is making me want another one... I think I need the extra large to round out my collection!

    1. Thanks- I think it's from Old Navy when they had a bunch of Halloween stuff. It's daddy's favorite so when he dresses him it always makes an appearance :)

  4. Ah, baby Little Smith is too cute! We owned a similar product, but unfortunately it was cheaply made and broke relatively easily. These look great though! I can see how they would come in handy all over the house!

  5. what size is the blue tubtrug your little one is bathing in in the above picture? I want to order one but I can't decide what size to get for my 7month old.

    1. Hi Hannah, sorry for the delayed response I'm just noticing your comment. That's the large size- it's a great all purpose choice. Enjoy!
